SHOPPING IN BHUTANA series of traditional bamboo huts, aligned neatly below Norzin Lam, right opposite the Nehru Wangchuk Cultural Centre is the Authentic Bhutanese Crafts Bazaar. It showcases a wide range of authentic Bhutanese Arts and Crafts. There is a total of 80 stalls which stretches half a kilometre. It covers all aspects of Art and Culture for both contemporary use and market needs.
This place has many handmade things to offer like scarfs, bags, shoes and much more.

Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Center


This single centre at the south end of Thimphu produces hand-woven textiles and has a selection of cloth and ready-made garments for sale (scarves, belts, jackets). You can watch weavers at work (not Sunday), and photos are allowed. A finely embroidered Kira can take nine months to make and cost over US$1200; cheaper ones start at US$60. This shop is located to the south side of Thimphu.
