Ricola AG confirms new business following Cannes and reveals new development for the brand in the Asian Market
Ricola AG, the expert in Swiss herb confectionery, has reported a pleasing new piece of the travel business. It is arising from its appearance at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.
The company met with representatives from Slovenia’s Kompas Shop and this has been converted into a substantial order. Ricola products will be available in retails stores on Slovenia’s borders with Austria, Italy, and Croatia.
The presence of Ricola has led to advanced discussions to stock “significant volumes” of its products with travel retailers across Europe. Notably, Ricola saw a 25% year to date growth in travel retail so far in 2019
The brand had a high level of interest in Swiss herb confectionery items such as the range of 75g tins and 15g assorted bags. A similar interest can be seen for the specialty instant teas, which it has introduced to the channel.
Ricola also announces significant news from the Asia market and made a move that will boost profitability. The brand will now supply the Asian organizations of its key global accounts Heinemann and Dufry directly.
