Iran Duty-Free Allowance

The following goods may be imported into Iran without incurring customs duty by travelers who are 18 years and above. Scroll down to know more about Iran Duty-Free Allowance.

Iran Duty-Free Allowance let you carry a maximum of 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco.

Note: Importing alcohol is illegal.

BANNED IMPORTS

Apart from the items allowed under Iran Duty-Free Allowance, there are some goods having very strict regulations and guidelines against their import in Iran.

You cannot take any alcoholic drinks, Narcotics, or any other product related to them into the country. In addition to this, you cannot import food material (including meat, poultry, and dairy). Apart from the obvious weapons and firearms, counterfeit goods, Anti- Islamic publications are not permittable in Iran. There’s no entry for any photos and films that are against the religious and national dignity of Iran.

In addition to this, You cannot take any domestic animals, wildlife and any other product or equipment related to them into the country. In addition to this, you cannot import plants and plant products. At last but not least, check your medicines because of restriction on non-prescribed drugs.

BANNED EXPORTS

Also, all prohibited imports are banned from export, including antiquities and cultural artifacts.
