Accolade Wines is again the sole wine supplier in a large-scale seasonal Australasian promotion.
It was the second consecutive year of Accolade and Lotte Duty Free(JR/Duty Free) joining hands to run the promotion over the Christmas and Lunar New Year period.
Accolade created a Lunar New Year-inspired theme with red and gold for the promotions. The promotion included its various brands such as Grant Burge, Arras, St Hallett, Hardys, Petaluma, Stonier and Croser.
“We are proud to partner again with Accolade Wines for our biggest promotion of the year,” said Nicole Dowling, Buyer – Liquor at Lotte Duty Free Oceania.
“Accolade Wines are able to provide a diverse range of Australian products that appeal to a diverse range of passengers. Their support at this time and throughout the year is invaluable.”
The main prize of the promotion saw travellers get the opportunity to win 12 brand new Mini cars over the three months from November 2018 to February 2019.
The activation took place across Brisbane, Darwin and Wellington airports, and online.
A large pop-up activation space was created at Brisbane Airport for the promotion. The travellers could ‘interact’ and read tasting notes for each wine at the activation space. They could then accept the invitation to “Explore the Best of Australian Wine” before heading through into the main shopping area of the airport.
Rupert Firbank, Commercial Director, Global Travel Retail for Accolade Wines said: “Feedback has been hugely positive and the premium wines have sold exceptionally well.
“Australia as a whole continues to be one of Accolade’s heartlands, and special features like this promotion allows our wine brands to really stand out to millions of passengers of all nationalities.”
Brand Ambassadors also assisted and advised shoppers on the wines that may be best suited to them during the promotional period.
